TrainingBytes are 30-60 minute trainings designed to answer common technology questions in the areas of teaching & learning, research, and productivity. All sessions are walk-in and registration is not required, though RSVPs are always appreciated.

Panopto Coursecast Training

Please RSVP as soon as possible for this session so that we can enable your Panopto account before Wednesday.

 

CourseCast is an easy-to-use program for recording audio, video, and content from your computer.In this session you will sign into your Suffolk CourseCast account, create a folder for your videos on the Suffolk CourseCast website, make a brief recording, and link your recording to one of your Blackboard course sites.

Getting Started with Blackboard

Are you a new instructor? Did you use a different earning management system at another school? Or are you only using Blackboard to post your syllabus and are not sure what else is possible? In this session we will go over a few basics in transitioning more of your course materials and activities to an online space you can use across courses and semesters.

Creating and Grading Assignments in Blackboard

One of the most common questions I get asked is how to use Blackboard as a drop box for student work. In this session we will go over how to create and grade an assignment, as well as look at some other options for having your students submit work via Blackboard, such as the Journal tool.
