I used to get my messages in my email as a wav file and now they are gone. Is this because I switched my client for email?

Yes, if you change your email address, you will have to change it on the Web PhoneManager click on Notification and scroll down to Email address to enter the new email address. Now your voicemail should arrive in your new email inbox.
