How can I view CourseCast recordings in Blackboard?
If you have linked to your CourseCast folder from your Blackboard course, you'll have the following options to view the recordings:
1. You can click on the recording link and view it on your computer. You will need Microsoft Silverlight for the first time, if it is not on your computer already.
2. You will also find a feed icon and two links marked "Podcast" and "RSS". These links allow you to subscribe to the course feed in different ways.
Podcast
Clicking on the Podcast (Audio or Video) link will open an "itpc" link that will open up your favorite podcast listening/viewing software, or ask you to pick the application you wish to use like iTunes or Windows Media Player. Once your application is selected it will be automatically added to the podcast list moving forward.
RSS
Clicking on the RSS feed link will take you to a screen that will allow you to subscribe to the content via an RSS link and your favorite RSS reader. As new recordings become available the RSS reader will display links to the individual mp3's or mp4's for downloading.
