Suffolk University's first Trading Room and Financial Center was established in 2012. It is located on the 5th Floor of 8 Ashburton Place (Sawyer Building), Boston, MA 02108 and was designed by the Office of Technology Management in collaboration with external and internal units across the university.
The Center was established to provide students, faculty and staff access to a wide collection of financial technologies where they can apply their knowledge in a simulated environment, using real data. The new facility contains high-end technology and equipment, including 29 workstations, six flat-screen panels, and a stock ticker. With dual-screen displays, live data streams from Thompson Reuters, and interactive software like Compustat, CRSP, StockTrak, Bloomberg, and Morningstar, students can enhance their learning and professional development.
