The University Police Chief has been designated by the President of the University as the Incident Commander having authority to act on his/her behalf when coordinating all emergency procedures described in this plan. The University Police Chief and his/her designees shall provide tactical direction in emergency situations and coordinate or provide all necessary assistance required for the implementation of this plan. Assistance shall include, but not be limited to; the security and protection of all University property, traffic and crowd control, building evacuation and orderliness, medical assistance, utilization of University employees as may be deemed appropriate, and other assistance needed to ensure the safety of employees, students, and visitors.
