Web Conferencing is a web-based tool allows faculty and students to engage as if they were in a traditional classroom with real time exchanges. You can use two-way audio, see multiple participants on video at the same time, and draw or type on an interactive whiteboard and present a wide array of content (videos, web pages, PowerPoint presentations, PDF files, etc.). desktop sharing, rich media, breakout rooms, and session recording.

In addition, you can show any application in real time, allow students to work on the applications, share your desktop, poll students in real-time, and work with them in break-out rooms.

The Web Conferencing tool we will be upgrading to is called Collaborate. This tool is integrated with Blackboard and beginning this Spring 2013, will be replacing Wimba Classroom.
