To launch My Documents or any application available to you, follow these steps -

Open Favorites page


The Favorites page provides a web-based portal for access to applications. The user only sees the applications that they are authorized to use. From the Favorites page on the remote access system, choose the application or folder you want to use by clicking on it. In this example we are clicking on My Documents.

Application launch in progress


When you click on My Documents or any application you are presented with a few windows that automatically open. These windows should not be closed. You will see these application launch in progress windows whenever launching any application or folder. Please be patient.

My Documents window opens


After the system completes its launch process, you will be presented with the application you clicked. In this example we can see the My Documents window overlayed in front of the remote access favorites page. You can now click within your My Documents folder and work on the files. You can create new files, edit existing files or delete them. All work is saved within the My Documents folder.

If you were to launch MS Word or Excel, the same process takes place and you will be presented with the Word or Excel application.

NOTE: All of the work you do through the remote access system is saved to university servers. This ensures that the changes you make off campus are available to you when you come back on campus.
If you edit, delete or create a file in My Documents, you are making those changes directly to your My Documents folder on campus.
