Medical Emergencies – Students and Employees

To obtain medical attention in a medical

For Students:

Medical services are provided for Suffolk University students at the Office of Health and Wellness Center located on the 5th floor of 73 Tremont Street.

Urgent Care Walk-In

Monday-Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm. Students can walk-in without an appointment during these hours and be evaluated by a clinician for urgent care needs.

Patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis.

What do we mean by “urgent”? A good rule for an appropriate urgent care walk-in visit is that you are feeling ill enough to miss class or work.

Please understand that we may need to prioritize patients according to severity, so that someone who arrives after you may need to be seen before you.

Emergency/ After Hours

Suffolk University Office of Health & Wellness Services does not provide emergency care. If you need to be seen after hours for urgent care matters Suffolk students may go to the MGH Walk-in Unit.

To obtain medical attention if you believe you have an emergency:

On campus - First, dial 9-911 from a campus phone, 911 from a non-campus phone. Then, notify Suffolk University Police at extension 8111, or or 617-573-8111, that you have called for an ambulance and provide the location where the medical emergency exists. Suffolk University Police will guide the EMTs to the correct location as well as come to the location to offer assistance.

Off campus - dial 911
