There are three stairwells that can be used for building evacuation. Stair 1 serves the gymnasium to the 6^th floor, is located on the east side of the building next to the elevators, and occupants exit the stairs on the 1^st floor into the lobby and out the main entrance onto Cambridge Street. Stair 2 serves the gymnasium to the 1^st floor, is located on the east side of the building, and occupants exit the stairs on the 1^st floor onto Ridgeway Lane. Stair 3 serves floors 2 – 4 as well as the 6^th floor, and is located on the southwest corner of the building, and occupants exit the stairs on the 1^st floor onto Hancock Street. 

There are two exits available to the bookstore. The first exit is out the main entrance onto Cambridge Street. The second exit is in the back of the store on the east side and leads to a corridor which opens into Stair 2.
