1.4.12 Athletic Events

If an emergency (major injury, accident, etc.) occurs during a Suffolk University athletic event, the following protocol should be followed:

• The on-site administrator (Director of Athletics, head coach, trainer, other administrator) will contact the Suffolk University Police Department (SUPD) at 617-573-8111.
• SUPD will contact the Emergency Manager who will contact the Risk Manager as necessary.
• The on-site administrator will contact the Director of Athletics, if not present.
• In addition, the on-site administrator should follow any established protocol at the site for emergencies.

If an emergency (major injury, accident) occurs during a Suffolk University athletic event at the Regan Gymnasium, the following protocol should be followed:

• The on-site administrator (Director of Athletics, head coach, trainer, other administrator) will contact the Suffolk University Police Department (SUPD) at 617-573-8111. 
• SUPD will contact Boston EMS (911) and come to Regan/Ridgeway to assess the situation.
• Athletic Department personnel will secure/operate elevators to assist emergency personnel to Gymnasium.
• The on-site administrator will contact the Director of Athletics, if not present.
• In addition, the on-site administrator should follow any established protocol at the site for emergencies
